In the longest layout(blue/blue) it’s a challenge but not punishing. A lot of holes in the 350-450 range that are par 3s and the only par 4s are 500+.

Overall not bad but the wooded nature is the only real challenge since it’s flat and there is only the small creek for OB. Nice for a change of pace though, and since the final week of there Deerfield league is this week I wanted to play that style of golf to prepare.

I’ve been meaning to get out to Deerfield since it’s playing in the Fall Salute this year, but it’s good to know Frog Rock (which is a lot closer to me) is a similar style for practice purposes. OP is great but I’ve been itching for a change of pace.

I know everyone has their own experience and their own way of describing discs.

I'm older, with higher miles than most my age.
Bad shoulders (rotator cuff), broken back, and a few other items of wear and tear. 300ft golf lines is a good rip for me. I stay semi competitive with better than average putting, solid approaches and smarter overall play.

I'm looking for what I would describe as a Crave with a bit more LSF.

The Volt is ok for me, but a little more disc than these worn shoulders really need.

The Crave is perfect, long (for me) and very straight. Some of my more worn ones have HST, but fresh they are pretty straight. I would like a disc just like the Crave but with a good fade, like say 2 fade.

I've tried a Plasma Servo but fresh it had more HST than my Craves so the fade simply brought it back to straight. The turn into a bit of wind caused me to inadvertantly send it swimming with the fishes.

Does MVP / Axiom offer anything like this?
I'm not looking for FB OS just a slower Volt.
Kind of a 6.5 5 0 2 that really matches those numbers.

Maybe I need to wait for the Rhythm or one of the other new ones.

Any wisdom would be appreciated

If you’re willing to branch out from MVP/Axiom you will likely have several options that should fit that bill. Something like a Teebird or a similar disc (Explorer, Instinct, Rival, etc.) might give you that flight you’re looking for.

I actually just jump from the Crave to a Fireball. While the Fireball is a bit more overstable than what you’re wanting, I find they are pretty manageable and get good distance if you get them in lighter weights.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks Ray, I've been thinking that very thing, I could very easily slot a fresh Star Teebird and get what I want after a few weeks. Maybe I need to keep my eyes open.
I like the smaller rims, slower speeds

Until the cypher or JC’s new fairway, I’d agree that instinct/fd2/teebird/rival/explorer are your best options. The latest c-FD2 is what I’ve been pairing with my craves, really nice forehand disc and fills the gap btw Crave and Resistor nicely. They’re just nearly impossible to find now, so maybe look on OTB or throwshop to get desired flatness of anything 7/5/0/2 you can find.

Thanks Mrcheviot... Here's hoping one of the new ones hits that slot

You could try a Dynamic Discs Evader. I’ve been curious about them and if you try one and it’s horrible then I won’t have to buy one to try myself.

What flavor of crave are you throwing? I've heard the cosmic neutron ones are a little more stable. Idk if they get to a -2 fade, tho.

All of my Craves are max weight cosmic neutrons. They are stupid straight and fly true to the numbers.
