I snagged a new fission wave a few weeks ago also. Bit more dome than my other one.

Also had a $25 Amazon gift card, so I decided to be crazy and dangerous and buy a 145g rando colored wave on there with it. That'll be interesting.

That's kind of what I'm hoping for!

Little hesitant about ordering one thru Amazon, not being able to select a color, and only selecting a weight range. No idea if it's newer or older stock or anything. But. Used a gift card that I probably would have just used on something frivolous anyway. Should be fun if nothing else. Most fission colors aren't horrible so fingers crossed that this likely very squirrelly disc doesn't show up the color of grass or leaves.

Search "D's Disc Golf Emporium " in ebay stores. Good guy, prices are competitive with anywhere else, I think.

I didn't find what I was looking for on DGC or his store. I drove up to the Dynamic Discs store to see what was available. The report there was no Uplink or Hex as yet. I did snag a Paradox to try out, thinking it may replace the Wombat3 in my bag.

I forget exactly how it went down but the paradox was mass released while the uplink was held as a special gyro box addition. I believe the uplink will largely hit the shelves early next year if I am not mistaken. If you know of any dealers that still have mystery boxes they are allowed to cut them open and sell individually on or after 31-Dec. I am hoping to snag an extra uplink and one of those super rubbery nomads that were in the 165-169 range.

Hmmm don't know if it's different down there but the dealer email had a reminder not to cut open until Mar? It seemed like it was a few months away anyhow.

Yeah that's the only way to get an uplink or on FB auctions.. I got a couple gave away a couple. Jury's still out on those too, I really like em but I'd also like to see what I could do with like a 170g one when they it general release and I might see how a 179 does, I think I have one, got a spare 176 fo sure.

I dunno I just need a little more magic on it, I played a Comet Big Z 176 against my 176 uplink the other night... kinda on ThreePutts sort of suggestion somethread else shortly before the snow and"artic outflow" brrrrrrrrr.

Anyhow I could give you the blow by blow but it was close... the big Z really like to go straight and it had superior putting skills... But 10yrs of Comets will do that. The uplink was squirrelly on the 10-30'rs it faded just a touch too soon on a hyzer and micro turned on the flat. It's no Envy haha.

The Uplink got some better approaches anytime I had more than 10' width to play with, it turned and held anhyzers better. Intuitive anny's.

The comet did straight better. It was more forgiving or just had a wider error margin. It's a flat big Z meatball for reference. Good round, good matchup. I will play that again so I thanks to 3P I kinda forgot I had that big Z.

Haven't played the paradox in a few days, it's so friggin light it's more beat putter kind of role. With a decisive fade haha. It goofs my player B or C I can't seem to match it with anything.. A spin is the closest but it's stable!

I should probably throw that electron 167 nomad from my gyro box but I'm scared to.. What if I like it?

If you don't let me know. I bought two boxes and got a soft electron in one, very clearly a normal 174g nomad. But then in my second box I got this white 167 nomad that is discernably different to all my other nomads. It's almost rubbery? super bendy, and feels very different to my putting nomads. I love throwing it and can't wait for the plasma nomads to hit.

My original mid line up was a Z wasp, Z buzzz, Opto Fuse. I am currently using the Eclipse Reactor, Hex, Uplink. It is taking me a while to adjust my game to this but I think this covers more lines than my original lineup. The eclipse reactor is probably a touch more stable than the wasp, the hex is a touch more understable than the buzzz, and the uplink is more understable than the fuse for sure, but not as much as I expected.

I still have my paradox but most of what I need in a US mid the uplink can handle.

I received one of those white soft rubbery nomads also and the plastic feels awesome. I’m a wizard guy but have been putting with that nomad lately just to tinker around with it since it’s getting colder out. I love the feel, still getting used to putting with it though. Seems like it most of my misses are coming up short with it, which is to be expected I think as a push putter. Must not be getting enough spin on it to keep it in the air.

ThrowaEnvy 12-30-2021 11:44 AM

Well they do bill the nomad as having a good flight with enough glide not to overshoot the target. Or something like that.

I kept the red nomad gave away the white one haha.. Now I'm sad after reading about how special the white ones are, the red felt about the same though. I wish I'd checked it for "glow" capability first. Oh well it was a guys birthday I went out for a round with him and apparently he absolutely loves it.

...do the white ones glow??

Also finally got a good crack at the uplink today. really liking that disc, i have never seen something with such late turnover. It just goes straight so far and then kicks over at the end of the flight. It's amazing.
