The firm electron Envy is my drug of choice. A fresh one is pretty straight and has a mild fade. Once you get a little wear on them, they can do pretty much anything. But even a fresh one can cover most lines if you hit it kind of hard.

I actually tried pairing it with a Proxy but a fresh Proxy didn’t really fly any different than my well loved Envy.

Recently I’ve just mostly been bagging a seasoned Envy and a Pig and it’s been a great combo.

I have a newish Med E Envy, but I've discovered I don't like the new blend of Electron nearly as much as the original blend. I'm back to my OG for now.

I haven't checked out "medium" electron. Definitely a cosmic soft electron if I can find em.

The putter that has given my envy the most competition has been the Ohm. I think it is a better complement than the proxy, just because of the inner rim. It doesn't hurt that it is a broken in Envy flight either , in premium plastic, right out of the box. And the Glide oh my God does it ever glide

Yeah, don't any of you knuckleheads ever try an Ohm!

Not much chance of that with them churning out JC Envys and Nomads around the clock. I got mine finally, that's all that matters. 😁

I feel like a beat electron Envy is a premium Proxy though.

I can see that.

No worries. Pretty sure I’ve never seen one out in the wild.

I tried the Nomad, it's not big deal, it's alright and if it was "built" for my feel hell yeah. If it was my first mvp disc I might be excited I might not.

Since I've been here since the second run ion... I'm more like meh! It's alright, I like electron. It was a forbidden fruit for the first 5 years(?), throw proton soft or medium and like it!!!

What was the first electron disc? ****, I really want to say atom but the smart part of my brain says think harder...

Any who.

The ohm is awesome!!!!! If I was forced to "one" disc and there was hazards so ya know not "electron" friendly, or if my disc bag got on the wrong flight to Fiji and I had to hit a store to buy a fresh bag to play the ohm would be in there.

It is the most underrated putter they've made... one of the reasons I guess I feel uncharitable to the nomad.

Yay special disc, sell lots, but not like "the shot" disc (envy) or the great ace or win (entropy). Seriously does he even throw that thing?! I see him throw the nomad but often wonder if he's not sittin there....

"S***, I wish I hadn't asked them to make this thing.. I could sure use a fresher 7/10 electron envy"

:D I got a box of beer...and it's Friday of a "supposed" long weekend. (In Canada and supposing you don't work 7 days a week) party on from here eh?!

It's a long weekend in the states too for some of us.

But, from what I understand, JC just putts with Nomads. He didn't want it to drive with. Apparently he wanted something a little chunkier than the Envy, but not as chunky as the Ion? IDK. I have no reason to try one though.

And, I think it was the Ion or Atom as first electron. Can't remember which was first for sure though, maybe same time? I remember my first electron disc was an Atom that I got from the used bin for $6. I threw it for all of my "I don't care if I lose this disc" shots, and for that reason, it was always money. Until I was feeling a little too awesome and tried to throw it on a 250' water carry. I was about 10' too short, but there was no recovering it from the weeds of that pond.

Nice! Yeah first electron I had was the atom, actually now that I think of it that was it's initial release plastic. I got a couple HOC neutron atoms. They were good, the envy won out in the playoff. Final elimination for me was anode, atom, envy. :D I had a killer tourney one time with a soft proton and med proton Anode. Lights out mutha-f----a. I scared people out of my division. Best two rounds of my life, I kinda feel like it went to "final cut" from sentimentality.

I don't have space to carry a nomad, envy, entropy etc... two envy's and I'm good. Then there's "ohm creep" . I fight it but ****, really good disc.

discerdoo 02-19-2022 07:28 AM

I putted and threw Atoms for about a year. They were nice but I tried a Roach a couple years ago and made the switch. Tried a Nomad hoping it was similar to an Ohm but kinda hated it. Shoulda known since I prefer beadless and have never cared for electron plastic. Electron is part of the reason I switched away from Atoms.
