facepalm at this whole post and every post you have in this thread.

1. just because you can't throw, or chose to throw EXs over ELs, doesn't make them bad discs

2. the EL is NOT like a JLS AT ALLLLLLLL. a JLS has a TB top and a Whippet bottom (btw, a whippets rim is more curved than an EX).

I have spent some time looking at the edges of some eagles I have. I have 2 star eagles marked on the back of them as SEX which I have examined looks like the Eagle-X wing (I assumed SEX= Star Eagle-X). I also have an 11x KC Pro Eagle and 12x champ eagle which looking at them seem to be the Eagle-L mold.

Does this sound right? (I lined them up next to each other and looked and this is what I saw but then again my eyes may have deceived me) Any info would be great thanks in advance.

Could be. Read below.

Eagle-X and Eagle-L Wings:

Note that the L wing is almost flat, where the X wing is more curved and is notched close to the outer rim. These differences make the X wing models act more stable and fade a bit more, and the L mold will turn a bit easier and fade less.

Almost all of the Eagle runs (10X, 11X, 12X, CE, and DX) and plastics are available in both, but the stamps are the same, so you must check first to be sure what you have or are getting. The new Star Eagles are only made in the X wing configuration at this time.

Thanks toothy. Yeah I am sure the Star ones are both Eagle-X. I just wasn't sure if the L or X were specific to different molds or plastics. I appreciate the info.

It's confusing. I've actually had both X and L in all the runs that I listed and also DX. Even the 11X Distance Driver and 11X Fairway Driver stamps have been both X and L mold.

while we're on the X/L topic again, anyone have pics of Teerex mold differences?

jsun3thousand 12-12-2010 02:33 AM

the teerex multiple modes syndrome is not an x/l issues. 2nd post in this thread will hook you up... https://www.dgcoursereview.com/dgr/f...x+tee+rex+mold

and this if you want a long version...https://www.dgcoursereview.com/dgr/f...x+tee+rex+mold
