Yep. Also basic econ: there is no absolute value, only perceived value. People often perceive value through comparison to similar objects or services. So whether or not $20 a disc is "pocket change"...

Awww, that's pretty cute. Your daughter has great form. How far is she throwing there? 150 - 200? Probably too much disc for her at this point, but if she keeps it up she'll be bombing that Kong...

Yeah, sorry, but not sorry. There are plenty of people with small hands out there who throw slower discs and still score very well. There are plenty of short people without particularly long arms who...

I don't get the whole "custom fit" angle for disc golf. I mean, we throw pieces of plastic. Aerodynamics don't change. Heaven knows that manufacturers have produced just about every conceivable shape...

You know whenever people give their critiques of pro athletes, inevitably someone brings up the "Hey, they're way better than you, thus you have no right to critique them" angle. Honestly, I don't...

There are plenty of straight-winged Destroyers out there (L-wing if you will). GStars are mostly like that (although not all). I've seen Pros that were like that too (although they don't seem as...

I think it has been remarked on before, but molds are generally designed for a certain type of plastic. The 3 top mold piece was designed for champ. DX shrinks a lot more than champ during cooling....

When I said old, I just meant they had been in my bag for a long time without beating into unusability. I've used a lot of DX Rocs from many generations of DX plastic. The current DX doesn't suck at...

Hmmm, I don't think I see the problem. If you like the KC Pros for consistent feel with your Aviars and you already have some beat in KC Pros, then pack those most of the time. Then if you're playing...

Through a whole lot of practice, I'm pretty money from 25 and in most days. Even at 30 feet, I might not take the deal although it might improve my scores. If you made it 35 feet I'd almost certainly...

His driving was mostly good, but so many missed putts with the Lunas. He's definitely not dialed in on those 30-45 footers yet. On that second round, I would guess with his Aviars he would have been...

Hmmm I think we're just coming at this from different angles. Given your first principle, which is that the distance records of the WFDF are really just a "side competition" of disc golf, your...

By your logic, someone should hold the distance record for throwing a disc off the rim of the grand canyon. It would definitely go more than 1000 feet, who cares about how it was thrown or what...

Well obviously distance throwing is more of a track and field event and has no relevance to anyone's performance on a course. But people care about a lot of things that have no relevance to any disc...

Huh, you really that sold without even trying one? Watching videos of people throwing the Luna, it looks significantly more stable than a baseline Pure. I guess maybe you could work a Luna in for a...

The naming scheme won't make sense to Americans in terms of us understanding from the name which disc is faster just from the name. Still, I don't think that necessarily makes it bad; it will just...

So 10-12 MPH of sustained tailwind at ground level (and probably faster 30 feet in the air). That may not sound like a lot, but a sustained wind like that is still a huge assist. There's a reason...
