They give me the tools to check non-current members, and I can deal with first-timers and other never-members.

The NTs, DGPTs, & 2 biggest Majors already draw the top pros pretty consistently (excluding the ones from overseas). I don't see a "slam", in itself, being a bigger draw. More money might help...
