My thoughts exactly. And I actually don't even lose any distance compared to a power grip on discs roughly speed 11 and down. 12 and up though and I get more snap/spin with a full power grip.

Agreed, definitely not a headwind disc. They absolutely crush in tailwinds though, and they can be used to manipulate crosswinds with a bit of practice.

I've never thrown a CD2 or Undertaker. I'd call the Stag a slightly faster FD, or a more controllable Escape.

I think you'll like the plasma wave better than a Tern. I have never thrown a TD, so can't comment there.

You should be pretty well covered with your combo of Teebird/FD/Wave. That's enough...

I need to revisit the Tern. I tried it when I first started and hated it because it was too much disc for me at the time. That being said, Plasma Waves are awesome for that slot.
I'll concede...

What plastic type of Wave? I've owned multiple neutrons, a proton, and multiple plasmas...and the plasmas all have SIGNIFICANTLY more glide and turn, resulting in a much better long hyzerflip disc. ...

Stag has become my most thrown mold. I really have been relying on stretching them out a lot lately in situations I would normally throw a faster more stable disc. They go so far when thrown clean...

I think it's easier to keep the nose down on a hyzerflip than it is to keep the nose down on other throws. Is that what you're asking?

I'm curious how the Nikko signing will effect the eventual Westside OOP cuts. I saw that he is considering putting with Crowns, which should keep that mold safe (thankfully, since that's my putting...

Between the two discs you're asking about (speed 7/turn 0 vs speed 11/turn -2), the faster disc will go further but will be more effected by the wind.
I agree with previous posters that your max...

Oh man, Seppo is one of my faves and I had no idea he also gripped like that. I'd never heard it called a birdie grip, but now I know what to call it so thanks!

Does anyone else grip the disc like they're flipping someone off??

I grip the disc differently than anyone else I know. For pretty much all backhand shots, I grip the disc like a power grip but with my middle finger extended along the flight plate. Basically, it...

My mom wouldn't have had a problem with the DD names and stamps, but there's no way she would've bought me a Wraith, especially one with the traditional Wraith stamp. So does that make it bad...

I have a 165 Neutron Wave that's bright yellow. Probably 7/10 or so. I prefer Plasmas rather than Neutrons, but I've always held onto it as a backup.

I've never sold discs online so might need...

I, too, hate the hand feel of Roc3's. I switched from a Roc3/RocX3 combo to a Verdict/Emac Truth combo a little over a year ago. I really think the Verdict is as overstable as you need for what you...

beat-in discs vs. naturally US molds

I have a conundrum. I bag a couple Raiders, and I really, really like them. They're super comfortable in the hand and generally go where I want. I also bag a pop-top Star Shryke. It's not as...

My ratios change a little based on course length, but generally speaking:

3 throwing putters
5 mids
5 fairways
3 control drivers
3 max distance drivers

There's a huge difference between a domey pop-top Star Wraith and a Pro Wraith. That's probably the biggest stability gap within a mold that I've experienced.

The suggestion to try the Maiden seems spot on, assuming...
