The XXX is going to pan much slower than an Explorer when thrown overhand. It's a lot more overstable. It could also double as a very overstable mid.

I throw speed 3 and then speed 7. It's very rare that I throw anything faster, but when I do it's going to be speed 11 which honestly is too fast for my arm. I don't really miss midranges or control...
