Oh I forgot MVP. They were around with the Vector and Axis although Axiom discs didn't exist yet. MVP's line up was still pretty small then as well, and the Vector and Axis are arguably both...

Haha, well in 2013, it was pretty much "Roc vs Buzzz" days, right? I mean, we didn't have quite the metric ton of similar-flying mids to choose from 5 years ago and there were a lot more Roc...

Are you a bot? Why bump this old thread with a generic message like that? You realize that there have about approximately 1 million new midrange molds released since 2013 right? Gators and Drones are...

It would be nice to have a more stable Shryke in Star plastic. The (2) Champ Shrykes I've owned were both significantly more stable than the Stars I've got (with most of my GStars somewhere in...

Anybody else notice that Garrett Gurthie had a Pharaoh in the bag for the Jonesboro Open? I'm not sure if he actually threw it during the tournament, but he mentioned it was a good tailwind disc (for...

Oh you're right, I just watched that latest ITB on Facebook and it's P2's, not Yeti's. For some reason I had thought he was using Yeti's for a while, but maybe it's been P2's the whole time. Now I'm...

I don't know all that much about Madison Walker so can't speak to that. What I can be sure of is that Big Jerm is making way more hay for Innova than just about any other sponsored pro, male or...

A guy I met on the course let me throw his Diablo DT once. It was 140g and just stupidly overstable. Full rip (with some OAT) and nary a hint of turn. Pretty unique disc in that regard.

Salient Prometheus. :D
Gumbputt and Blowfly are pretty unique.
Then there's all the weird Quest discs like the Turbo Putt, etc.

I think 8 years ago, there weren't nearly so many forehand-predominant players, definitely not as many at the top levels of the sport. Pretty much every forehand-dominant player I know of throws...

Oh gotcha, that's interesting. They've had that one short hyzer position on the right side since the beginning, but now they have a second one, neat. I'll definitely check that out next time I'm out...

JK Aviars are more flexible and flat on top (rather than puddle-topped like the Yeti). JK's are good if you spin putt, but to me they're a little too flexible for a push putt.

The funny thing is, disc golfers in my experience DO tend to be pretty superstitious. I've seen guys get seriously mad at someone else in the group who "niced" their shot. Needless to say, they were...

Speak for yourself. Or I suppose you were. Personally, you can "nice" me all day, I don't care. If a short turns out poorly, it's because I threw it poorly. Sure, you can have bad luck like...

Wow, $10k is a big ace pot. I seem to remember that they had a "Next Gen Tour" am event there previously so maybe it's a similar event this year. Or maybe that was a Lat64 event; I can't keep Trilogy...

I've only had 1 Star FL back in the day. My recollection of it is that it was a bit like a glideless Thunderbird. Not as much HSS or skip as a Firebird, but not as much distance potential as a...

Oh nice! I'll have to make it back out to Buxton again soon. Is that basket elevated up on top of something? Looks like around 350ish distance-wise?

Well, let's see, the Viper was approved in 1991 and the Whippet in 1992, so NO the Viper did not replace the Whippet since the Viper was first. The JLS was approved in 1999, but I don't think ORDB...

My choice for this slot if I had to use a fresh, premium plastic disc would probably be a GL Fuse. It's just on the verge of being too understable, but definitely flips up straight and doesn't want...

So I picked up a Roc-like disc with a worn-off stamp out of a used bin at PIAS. It had super finger-printy plastic and after some squinting I made out that it was a Wasp, so I bought it. It turns out...

I like the DD mid lineup. I think if I couldn't throw Rocs, I could cycle eMac Truths book-ended with a Verdict and be okay (although I would miss Rocs and I'd probably have to throw premium plastic...
