Z FLX seems to be the most overstable plastic variety Discraft makes. I have a 165g Z FLX Heat, and it will hold a line pretty nicely.

If you start getting into faster drivers Z FLX becomes way...

Sounds like your 4X McBeth must have been made right as they were transitioning stamps. Newer Destroyers seem to have the straight wing.

Take all your discs (including the putters and mids) to a field and throw them. Learn what each disc can and can't do. You'll figure out which ones you like and don't like.

Monster and Banshee are...

Those all look like great choices for your power level. If you get all those drivers, throw them side by side and let us know what you think.

G* plastic is different. That stuff will flip no matter how much dome there is (or isn't). Regular star or champion Destroyers are horribly beefy if they're flat.

Obviously the flat wing makes a...

I agree. I've thrown about 10 Ballistas and 4 Destinies. The Ballista is flippy, but usually has enough late fade to avoid a completely horrible shot. With the Destiny, if it flips it'll usually stay...

Good job. Now, try a star Tern. Similar flight to the Thrasher, but a little less flaky. You'll probably tack on another 20-30' instantly.

Pro Tern

Put a few throws on one of these recently. 167g. Somewhat flat. Not a huge dome here.

I was honestly expecting this thing to be too understable to throw. I imagined it turning and burning.

Not...

I've had lousy luck with the Cannon, for the reasons you mention here. You have no clue what you're getting. A bad Cannon is really overstable, glideless, and short. I've thrown several such discs....

If you already have CD2s and FDs in the bag I don't think an Undertaker is going to do much for you. It flies similarly to both of them.

FDs are underrated, and sneaky long for a speed 7. Great...

Pro Starfires are the L mold. They're flippy junk. They're like a Beast L. Champion Starfires are the X mold. Pretty overstable. IDK if you've ever thrown an Orc, but just imagine a somewhat beefier...

The Raider doesn't have a very dumpy fade. I have 5 of them (all fuzion) and they have a mellow fade. The Raider is definitely a mold you need to check out. If you have a friend who has one, borrow...

I've never thrown a Raptor, but the numbers you have up there would fit a Starfire pretty well. A fresh champion Starfire won't turn, but will still be decently long.

All my Ballista pros are opto. All 3 Corvettes I have are flat. I'd like to find a domier one. My Torrent is 174 and has a good dome.

I've tried quite a few regular Ballistas. They tend to be on...

I top out at about 450'. A couple of my Ballista Pros are somewhat understable. They'll flex out and don't seem to have a hard fade. I fully agree with you that a newer Ballista Pro will fade hard...

Zeus

Finally got to throw a Zeus for the first time today. I've thrown 4 of the proto Kongs prior. I feel like I've made my displeasure with those discs abundantly clear, so I'll just move on to...

I agree. I've thrown a couple fuzion Sheriffs. They're easily the longest of DD's plastics. Wildly flippy, but super glidey and long. That plastic also seems to beat in pretty quickly. Anyone looking...

I throw the Torrent. Its definitely worth a look. For me a Torrent is like a very slightly less stable Nuke. I'll bend a bit right, but isn't really flippy. Something like a star Boss or ESP Nuke...

Matching the Shryke for sheer distance....

OK, back on topic for a bit here. I recently threw a disc that could give any Shryke a run for its money. A Z lite Nuke SS, 161g. I've thrown quite a few Nuke SS's over the years, almost all of them...

I've definitely seen a couple of bad Ballistas. When they beat in a little they get super flippy and wild. I also found that really flat Ballistas are flippy too. I don't like them. They flip over,...

It's a stupid stamp, but for whatever reason I don't mind it.

I think the Big Z Thrasher stamp is kinda dumb myself.

Big Z Nuke stamp is perhaps the coolest stamp out there.

So far this has done me well with Wysocki Destroyers. Flatter wing ones have a wonderful flight. High speed turn followed by a gradual fade.

I'd also recommend looking for a good/big dome too....
