Since you're already using the Heat and Thrasher, I'd suggest going with the Archer.

The first disc I was able to forehand with reliability was the Mako3 (a Star Mako3, but Champion works well, also), and it meets your criteria. So that's my first suggestion.

Also, the Panther...

The Tern is one of those discs (along with the Boss) that has different flight numbers for the Champion discs vs. the other plastics. The Champ Tern's turn and fade is -2,2; while the Star is -3,2...

Agree on the DX. The FLs, at least my Star FLs, aren't so much more understable as just not having quite as much of that Firebird fade the FB throwers seem to love. The FL didn't succeed for a...

I putt with the Marshal, and I've used the Pure for throwing and putting in the past.

In rim depth, the Marshal is a hair, just a hair deeper than the Pure.

In flight, the Pure is about as...

I have a GStar Aviar P&A, and it is one of the few GStar discs I like and recommend. I never did much more than putt with mine, and I found it to be the same stability as my Star PandAs.

If you prefer that 165-170g range for your discs, as I do, then go for a Firebird in that range. It should be fine for you.

Absolutely true. This is why I'm still bagging the Tern (and now working with the Trespass). 20 feet can be the difference between an easy putt and a circle's edge more-difficult putt, and so on. ...

The Wombat is beaded (it's V-tech), so you might prefer the Foxbat, which is not beaded. And I agree that you might want to give the Mako3 a try. I know you're looking for a Star Mako, but a...
