I love neutron waves too, around 168g.

I was hoping a fission photon in the mid 160s would be the "slightly beefier wave." But, it's a few ticks more stable. It might get there after I knock the...

My champ Roc3 is remarkably similar to my K2 Kaxe Z at around 280-300 feet. I might get an extra 20 feet or out of the Kaxe Z, but I feel like the Roc3 powers down a little better.

I've been bagging a Mako3 while waiting for some Mcpro Roc3's to beat in.

I haven't been all that happy with the Mako3. It's fine, but I just don't look forward to throwing it. I've been...

I describe star Thunderbirds as a a kinder, more gentle Firebird. Note: I've only thrown star Thunderbirds (around 168g), and I think they're a bit more stable than champion.

For someone who...

This sounds like a Rival to me.

I haven't thrown a JLS in a while, but it might be worth considering one of those as well.

In my experience, pinnacle beats up a little faster than premium plastics from other brands. That is: don't give up yet! There are gravity (baseline) patriots available, and they are a lot of fun...

I live in the Bay Area, and go up to Tahoe once or twice a summer (elevation: 6,200'). It's a very different game... My biggest recommendation is: bring that dusty/beat DX leopard that you have in...

Here's one more vote for the Resistor. Lightweight Resistors are awesome for overhand throws, and they're practically indestructible.

I've only thrown the Wave (and I love it), so it gets my vote.

Scott Stokely's video is correct, this mold goes very very far on midrange-like lines.

Waves replaced Terns after about a dozen throws with a few Waves.

I've added an Eagle-X since I was cycling fresh Rivals so quickly. I'm pretty happy with it.

Envy will do this after a few months of regular use. Brand new, an Envy will fight out of an anny (at distances around 250'). If you want this behavior tomorrow, go with the Proxy.

If you're looking for max distance (while still having good control), the Tern is going to be hard to beat. Star Terns are flippy, and champ Terns are nice and straight. G* are right in the middle,...

I like the Proxy. It feels identical to the Envy.

It's been a while since I've thrown a PA4, but IIRC the Proxy will need a little beating in.

A beat up Atom also sounds like a great choice.

My nephew grew up throwing the Squidgee by Aerobee, indoors and out. They're super light and floppy (but not even remtotely PDGA legal). They are about the same diameter as a golf disc.

I'm using Envy/Proxy so much these days that I'm considering taking mids out of my bag. There's not a huge gap (for me) between Envy/Proxy and my speed 7 fairways (Resistor/Rival/Patriot).

I'd be interested in lighter weight (165-170g) speed 9 discs. I have a small stack of lightweight FR volts that I really enjoy. I think an electron volt would bomb.
