Have you tried doing it in other activities other than BH in disc golf. Say throwing a ball or punching. Is the weight shift pretty automatic there?

To me it looks like that there is no movement made to the right side. Try lifting your toes or heel in your backswing, im not sure does it matter which one do you lift in that setup.

Not a big fan of turning all the way back like Scott teaches. Its not very efficent and almost impossible to recover to a good throwing position.

Easiest place to start is to fix your x-step. Maybe pick something two handed and walk it thru, should become apparent very quickly that turning backwards is not going to work.
