I thought I'd follow up. So far the retriever has been great. I took the advice and drilled a hole in the plastic cap at the bottom of the handle, and wipe it down with WD40 after water use.
So far...

Socks

Looking for recommendations for crew socks, dark colors. Something thin but will stay up. Think Chris Dickerson. Would rather not spend $20 a pair.

In no particular order...
1) Champ Firebird (enough said)
2) DX Valkyrie (love this disc. Got it from my son as a Christmas gift and it flies so darn good. Long S shots or hyper flips)
3) Maiden...

Interesting how defensive people get about a company they don't even know.
I like UDisc. I use it for scoring and for the maps, which are great.
I think we're all speculating when we talk about...

I'd venture to say a fair amount. UDisc is "included" for the 70,000 PDGA members, plus all the other non-PDGA users. Android says over 500,000 downloads, plus Apple users. Let's say another...

I knew there'd be these kind of answers, and that's ok. In my opinion a company tripling the price of it service with essentially no justification or real added value is pretty relevant. If Discraft...

UDisc Pro price tripling

Just got the email. Pro is tripling in price to $14.99.
Extra benefits are listed as live scoring for all in your party, and multiple course layouts.
Not sure that makes it 3 times as good....

What to expect when spectating?

I just registered myself and my sons, 12 & 14, to spectate at the Ledgestone Insurance Open in Peoria, IL. We've never been to any kind of tournament, let alone a major.

Any tips on how it works?...

Prodigy Disc Retriever

Just "snagged" one. 🤣
Looks like they may have contracted with Quick Stik, but it comes with 3 different hook attachments.

First dye job, Death Star Destroyer

Not very complex, but I'm VERY happy with how it turned out. No bleeding and crisp lines. IDye poly brought to about 120°F, let disc sit for about 2.5hrs.

Purple Primer for dye?

Anybody tried using the Purple Primer for PVC pipes? I’m just getting ready to dye some discs and had to do some plumbing today and thought “hey, I wonder!??”
