Seems like a shorter, less glidey Explorer. Probably very similar to the Longbowman.

The G* Corvette is glidier than a Knight by a lot. Similar turn. It'll turn some, but it usually doesn't flip all the way over.

I find the Knight to be more finicky than the G* Corvette.

For me...

I think over time the Stiletto will break in and start turning. Opto plastic has a habit of wearing in pretty quickly. If you beat the heck out of it I don't think it'll keep stability long.

I don't have a Delirium, but I do have a Dimension.

I could make this happen. I have lots of star and champion Bosses.

I haven't thrown the Dimension in a while. From what I remember it's...

I imagine someone with a big sidearm like you would find the Stiletto longer than the Flick. The Stiletto won't turn, but it'll glide a little more and fade later (and not quite as harshly) as the...

The Catalyst is absolutely touchy. Once you start going above 375' it's really hard to control. My throwing the other day reminded me of the Catalyst's negative attributes.

High risk, high reward....

Blizzard discs are way more trouble than they're worth. They go far, but they're impossible to throw straight.

I never understood why these discs got popular. Other than random long drive contests...

You won't need both. The Stiletto can definitely be powered out for more yardage than the Flick, but the 2 molds do basically the same thing.

Agreed. I'm not the hugest fan of G* plastic either. However, the G* Corvette agrees with me. I love the way it feels and throws. IMO its the longest driver Innova makes.

Flick vs. Stiletto

Due to request, I've decided to do a write up of the Flick (Z) vs. the Stiletto (Opto). These are two discs of different speeds, but very similar (over)stability.

The Flick is listed at 12, 3, 1,...

I agree. I notice dramatic distance increases between the star and G* Corvette. 50' sounds about right.

I've thrown 3 G* Corvettes and about 8 star Corvettes. Haven't seen or thrown any champions.

the star Corvette tends to be flat and a little on the beefy side. They will turn, but you have to work...

I haven't thrown a pro Shryke or Corvette. I reckon they'd both be really long and flippy.

I guess it depends what you really want out of a Corvette. I've thrown stars and G*s. Stars tend to be a little beefy and flat. G*s have more turn and dome.

G* Corvettes are one of the longest...

I don't have any Anvils, but I have everything else.

I can tell you already that the Corvette is a hell of a lot longer than the Pharaoh. Faster, too.

I've had pretty good luck with Mayhems. They're slightly harder to turn than a Catalyst, and far less likely to flip all the way over.

I won't say the Catalyst isn't worth trying. I actually like the way it flies. It's just so damn finicky. When you smash the Catalyst just right it flies beautifully as far as any other driver out...

Shryke vs. Catalyst

Today's head to head matchup in the field was (Star) Shryke vs. (Neutron) Catalyst. These are a couple fast, understable driver molds.

The Catalyst is listed at 13, 5.5, -2, 2. The Shryke is...

I wonder if you have to take into account which plastic a mold was introduced with.

Shryke: Star or G*

I kinda agree. Stuff like Eagles and Teebirds fly a lot more overstable in star or champion than in DX. Firebirds seem to fly much truer in premium plastic. DX Firebirds become flippy in a hurry.

I honestly don't know. The thing has a custom stamp on it. The plastic is slightly rubbery. Almost feels like a mixture of DX and pro. I don't know much about Infinite's plastics, nor the specific...

Scarab vs. McPro Aviar

My main putter for the last 3 years has been a McPro Aviar, 175g. Today, I tossed a 171g. Scarab in the bag as well to mess around with on the course. I had never thrown or seen a Scarab before.

G* Boss just isn't a very good disc. I've thrown a few of them. You're right that they're flat.

I think Innova did something to the Boss in recent years. I used to love them, but lately all the...
