I agree that the Wasp does have good glide, the rating of 3 that Discraft assigns it is misleading. It's fun throw in a cross/ cross tail wind and just watch the glide kick in. They also carry well...

I have found GStar to very similar to DX in terms of flight- the broken Star flight w/ plus glide out of the box. I prefer the feel of DX.

I tried out some P Line Hurricanes in attempt to find a straighter Force. I didn't have much success dialing them in and settled on lighter Z Forces. I agree that new P line is really gummy.

177 to 180 g is going to be minimal difference. PLH is really going to be your deciding factor in starting stability and if you're looking for longevity KC plastic may be the way to go.
