I would still say they're a bit inconsistent, but for a high speed driver, you're right that they aren't bad at all. I've thrown almost as many as you, but with completely different stability results...

As has been said, they're not super consistent (like any high speed driver). I think most Shrykes want 350+ to fly as intended, but I've had 2 or 3 (Star and GStar) that definitely would fly well for...

This is an album I did a while ago of one of the recent ColorGlow Star Philos against some older runs. If you look at my comment on each picture, I describe which disc is which. It's especially...

They're definitely around. The first run of swirly Star Philo Destroyers had straight wings, which is what made them bombers out of the box. Obviously, those are more expensive now and the current...

Hehe, disc hipsters love old plastic. I remember those days. Everybody was pining for the overstable pop top S/DS runs. I got my hands on a few of those after a while and they were absolute meat...

I switched out Rocs for EMac Truths for a hot minute when they first came out. To me the ET has a very Roc-like flight with a very different rim feel. It seemed just a bit more high speed stable than...

Hmmm, you might be surprised. Run to run, the Pro plastic used in the stiff Pro Pigs from the factory store has varied too. I've had a couple that were positively as floppy as RPro and some that were...

Hmmm, 2 suggestions.

1. Go to your local disc retailers if you have them. Look through all their stock of Rocs. If you don't see what you want, ask if they have any more in back or when they will...

Well, ask and you shall receive I suppose. They've had Stiff Pro Rhyno's (which I assume are in the same plastic as the Stiff Pro Pigs) in the Innova Factory Store for years now:

A Star Valkyrie. The Valk was the world distance record holder at the time and mine has the Sandstrom distance record stamp. I believe it's 171g.

Sure, but it depends on what your goals are and why you aren't throwing far. I did the same thing you're talking about after playing for a couple years when my form was terrible and OATy. In order to...

Oh yeah no doubt there is a time and place for discing down for a shot (or even a whole course sometimes). I'm not trying to say people should be throwing a distance driver on every hole where a...

Yeah I actually noticed this a long time ago too and my observation has been the same as yours: the sharper-nosed Rocs are more overstable. When I'm browsing for new Rocs in stores, I actually look...

In my experience, the best Rocs have a mild, gradual dome with no "pop" sound if you press on the flight plate (the ones with a pop top are what Three Putt calls drummer Rocs). If there is just a...

I putted Pigs for a while. They were great for me inside the circle. Outside though, I just had to put so much on my putts to get them to the basket that I wasn't accurate. Overall, I think there's a...

I've owned a handful of 2017 and 2018 Philos. I will say that all the 2017 Philos I've seen have the characteristics I associate with GStar Destroyers which tend to be a little less stable than Star,...

I have one of those and if I remember correctly, it's very overstable. Mine is just as OS as most of the USDGC Champ Ranchos I have (more OS than the Champ Ranchos from some years like 2015). It's a...

I could get on board with this if we're talking only premium plastic. I had a red Echostar with a big pop top dome a few years ago (not sure which run it was from, probably not the last), and it was...
