I prefer to have multiples of the same mold in my bag. For me it cuts down on any confusion regarding what disc to throw...if it's a fairway shot it's going to be an FD, if it's longer it will be a PD or Outlaw, or if I don't care about accuracy as much it's a Tern.

It allows me to not second guess my disc selection as much. If it's a bad shot, it was me and not the disc I threw. I'm getting too old to carry a ton of discs also, so this saves my back as an added bonus.

As to your last question, do what works best for you. There's pros and cons for both arguments, but in the end it's what you have confidence in.
