Default July 4th Weekend in Vermont

So we're heading up to Burlington, VT for the July 4th weekend (July 1-5) driving up I-87 through New York. I have ideas on where to play but was interested in what the DGCR community thought prior to finalizing the course destinations.

BTW, this is NOT a DG vacation but I will attempt to play one course a day.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Good luck with that, man. I just went up to Burlington a month and a half ago for a bit of a vacation, too. There are only two courses near where I went--and that's over 20 miles away. It's quite a bit of a hike :/ Might wanna stop along the way instead of trying to commute from Burlington. That said, I cannot comment on the quality of the courses along the way because I did not stop to play.

So what courses did you play up there? We're ok with driving an hour or more to play premium courses (which looks to be exactly what we're gonna hafta do). The two at Sugarbush, the two in Montgomery...we've never been to the state so will be traveling around checking things out.

Stop by Joralemon Park on your way up or back. 20 mins off I 87 just south of Albany NY. discap.net is our local web site check us out and post on our forum someone can give you a tour. 28 holes of fun just waiting to be explored. We just had our yearly tourney the week before fathers day the course is looking superb right now. Want to play the hole that's being discussed in the OB too close thread? Hyzer Creek is Just 30 north of Albany.

Yep I was thinking either/or/both Joralemon Park & Hyzer Creek depending on weather, time, etc. 28 holes is very inviting though and it's so close to the interstate...I hope to play both!
