Sport: an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.

Game: a form of play or sport, esp. a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck.

It's both by definition, right?

It really depends on how you play. Some people just play it as a game every once in a while. I treat it like a sport.

Yup, it's both. Most casual players enjoy the game of disc golf, a small subset competes at the sport of disc golf.

I don't care. People used to try and argue with me that skateboarding isn't a sport. I do both to have fun and to feel good when I progress. Besides most football players can't even stand on a skateboard, let alone bust out Nollie Gazelles first try

My argument for "game of skill" is the number of out of shape people that are good at disc golf.

Even some of the "pros" are not what you would call athletes.

Bowling, billiards, darts, ball golf, these are equivalents.

The same argument for golf.
Yes, there are young and in shape people.
Yes, there are old and out of shape people.
Is it still skillful, yes.
Do you need to be an athlete to play? If you want to be good at it -fast, yes. If you dont care and you just want to have fun, No.
