Some bad dubs play at HH way early this month that made me question everything about how I play disc golf and then a different, better round after a work day at whippin' post, where I shot a decent feeling 70.

Same bag for Flying Lotus open, shot a 63 at Curtis and a 65 at Loriella. My putting was terrible round 2 and my overall form has some kinks in it right now.

Ratings day, back +1 to 939. Been crabbing riiight below 940 for a while now. Here is some fun math for you. So I was chatting with a friend about probabilities and how they relate to ratings, and I was wondering what the probability was that someone can be 940 rated and have never shot a 1000 rated round.
Average players have a standard deviation of about 30 points, so a 1000 rated would be right at 2 standard deviations, or roughly 5% chance of happening.

If we take that 5% we can figure out how many events can happen and the probability that the 5% would have happened during one of those events. It turns into there is a 50% chance that given 14 rounds a 940 player will throw a 1000 rated round and through 30 rounds there is an 78% chance a 940 player will toss a 1k.

I feel like I've been at roughly my skill level for a year, and I've played 30 rated rounds in the last year. So I am apparently a decent statistical anomaly.

I’m trending your way, as well. Just popped back up to 931, with a +12 today. Highest rated round was 980, and that actually dropped... I’ve always thought of myself as a ~940 player, but consistency is my bane.

Nice! I actually had a 990 early last year but that sadly dropped off my ratings. One stroke away

18 from the shorts at Rockland. There is a new park manager apparently and they're finally cleaning the place up. It's the best it's looked in a year and a half or so probably. That being said I still pulled like 20 tiny ticks off me when I got home.
Shot a 61, my clean 2s on 12, 8 and 13 were offset by three putting hole 10 and then I took a sweet 7 on 7 as I hacked through the woods and picked up ticks. I didn't get to finish before I got kicked out by a kindly park employee cause it was getting dark, but I was inside c2 on hole 18 with nothing in the way so chalk up an ez3.

What I actually threw and off what tee
2* wraith - (hole 2, 12)
z pred - (hole 16)
Trident - (hole 1, 9, 10, 11)
F2 - (hole 4, 18)
2x comet - (hole 3, 5, 14, 17)
M2 - (hole 7)
3x PA4 - (hole 6, 8, 13, 15)
Sonic

2 rounds at Clarkes run, 1 with the boys one to finalize a gameplan on that course before a tournament at the end of september.
Shot a 67 round 1 and a ?? second round. same bag as Rockland friday but add in a champ gazelle and for midranges I had 2 DX rocs and 1 comet.
Finally figured out how I want to play Clarkes run after a lot of 70+ rounds.
1 - flippy F2 to flat
2 - flippy wraith full rip
3 - flippy F2 let it drift over for a while, comet up
4 - flippy PA4
5 - flippy wraith on hyzer the whole way, probably a comet or PA4 second shot
6 - flippy PA 4
7 - Not 100% on this one, I threw an OS Roc on a forced anny and ended up 50' long, but threw a Breaker on an anny and ended up like 55' short. I'll probably throw breaker because being short is much less punishing than long.
8 - very flippy F2 on a hyzer to turnover hard throw. I don't like the forehand play fading back toward the creek. (side note, almost saw my friend Rush throw in a 2 on this, he ended up 10' short for a tap-in 3.
9 - Comet into the hill, PA4 up
10 - flippy PA4, ace run
11 - comet up the hill
12 - very flippy f2 on hyzer through the left gap, let it work to the right, then try and make magic
13 - flippy wraith FH out the tunnel down the hill
14 - comet turnover
15 - Been throwing distance drivers but I'm gonna switch to throwing a Pred flat as hard as possible.
16 - FH trident
17 - flippy wraith FH and then ??? something to land soft somehow
18 - flippy wraith backhand.

I need to get back to Clark’s Run. It’s a beautiful and challenging course.

Round with two friends at Curtis, mixed layout.
Shot a 60, which I'm not super happy about, mostly because I missed 6 inside the circle putts, which is pretty pathetic honestly.
I got some new 164 D1s off infinite with the infinite bomber stamp and those things FLY. They go so far on straight to fade lines it's insane.
Also nabbed a swirl ESP Ledgestone Pred and it's money.
