I am not worried about dying from covid because I do not have any underlying heath issues. I do worry for my wife though because she does. I wear a mask when shopping. I dont when disc golfing though because it is pretty easy to socially distance from others when playing.

The potential long-term heart & lung damage doesn’t sound fun. People who “recovered” in March still get exhausted walking to the mailbox. Also potential ongoing neurological issues. Maybe these things are less common but they do happen, even to previously healthy people.

None of it sounds like fun. Being intubated doesn't sound like fun. Being in a hospital, without visitors, for weeks or months, doesn't seem like fun. Being terribly sick at home for 3 weeks, doesn't seem like fun. And, certainly, long-term or lifetime health degradation, doesn't seem like fun.

I seem to have posted this one day prematurely.

A player tested positive following the West Virginia Open last weekend. I am running an event this weekend and have asked all players (4) in attendance there to withdraw.

Good luck with your tourney, and best wishes to the exposed player. I hope none of the other players at WVO were exposed.

General rant: If we had fewer cases, we could get testing results faster. Faster testing leads to more effective contact tracing. More effective contact tracing provides useful information on how exposure occurred. Better understand of how exposure occurred informs decisions about what activities can be safely resumed, and what activities need to be restricted.

But mostly, I hope we can drive cases down as low as possible before flu season.

That's a nice sentiment, but the study is what it is. I don't agree with the idea that it was free of bias, and I suspect neither do you. I think the real issue is how the media is interpreting the study's results. Obviously they have their agenda, and lie by omission as a standard operating procedure. The two (academia and media) are more closely aligned than ever. I suspect their end goal is communism, even though it actually goes against their best interests in the long run.

Hats off to this guy.
