Not sure on his max D, but this is one of the more entertaining rounds of golf I've watched. Ricky throwing a 1000 rated round with only a pig.

Yeah it sounds like a great idea, I just hadnt seen it mentioned much before.. I keep my head in the Gyro sand and anything that I have pre MVP is at least 15yrs old.

Speaking of which my favourite Firebird is a candy pro probably 25yrs old and is actually an FL..

I throw Comets and Firebirds both, slightly different usages though.

It's all good, playa....haters gonna hate. 😁

Premium Firebirds, in general, are glideless bricks. I suppose if someone has 450+ feet of backhand power they are fine... or perhaps if one plays in Kansas winds.

Locally, I see forehand only players use Firebirds(or equivalent), but rarely ever see it in a backhand dominate players bag.

Of course local culture and/or geography may play into rarely seeing those sorts of discs in East Tn.

For amateurs, most of us would be much better off with a SOLF type overstability.

This whole thread is now blasphemy. My entire game is based on just throwing a Champion Firebird when all else fails.

Somehow the Firebird’s greatest strength is now a flaw? Y’all crazy, it’s just a tool, and a very effective one at that.

I love throwing Firebirds backhand. It requires a lot of energy, but I can make it do things that almost no other disc can. I love the giant flare skips I can get out of it when I have a low ceiling. Banshees are fine discs as well, but it’s no Firebird.

Agreed, Firebirds are incredibly useful for when you want the disc to move more L-R or R-L than forwards. And I've thrown some amazing flex lines with them lately (mostly FH) - you can release the disc damn near vertical and it will still fight out of it and fade. Great shot for tough scrambles.

I throw Raptors (slightly less OS FB), and I consider myself to be BH dominant, with a useable FH (but I default to BH). I usually throw the Raptor FH, but have uses for it thrown BH, but that's usually for holes where the disc has to get left and not turn at all, or I have a massive headwind in front of me and am not carrying my Force.
