I wouldn't object. Nothing wrong with creative obstacles.

For a casual round or course, I could see it, I wouldn't hate it either. Might end up getting stolen or vandalized though. Probably not for a local A-tier however. Players might smash the thing, like Nikko or Bradley.

I was thinking more of in lieu of a tree, not something like the mozzarella sticks.

The baskets are all 12 feet high but the catching area is twice as big as normal. Imagine just a giant basket in the woods about 3 feet wide and 4 feet high. You climb ladders to get your disc!

I've got artificial OB every 10 feet on every hole. It's staggered to act like a thousand creeks running though the woods. Super cool. So you need to know how far you throw every shot. You want to land 340-350. Not 350-360 for instance. Super technical fun.

I forgot about the mounds and slopes. Some will roll away 400 feet if you miss a putt. So don't do that! I even have one hole with 126 mandos. You got to stay in between a 3 foot gap 600 feet straight. I'm so pumped!
It sounds extremely challenging especially for the best players in the world. Now if you add some lame gimmick like tiny baskets which just creates more layups, i doubt I'd play it. Also just use regulation baksets, bigger isn't necessary but hey its your land.

This beats 500 foot open holes with a tiny little basket. I hate watching 450 foot drives, 45 foot layup to a drop in. Seems extremely boring and doesn't really test the skills of a great disc golfer.

When have you watched 500 foot holes with a tiny basket?

I hate watching the best players in the world throw into trees every shot. Layup 30 footers to raised baskets or take OB strokes for landing in the 3 inch grass.

So you going to keep up like this for the next 5 years? BTW Paul has a surprise for you!

So I watched this recent podcast with Lizotte and thought it was funny when they asked what will we remember about disc golf from this time in I think they said 30 years from now. Simon said that was when we were putting on giant baskets. lol

This course is in need of three things. A chainsaw, 18 smaller baskets and remarking all those par 4's and 5's to 3's and 4's. What a terrible design and watch.

640 feet par 5? What are we doing here? 400 foot par 4's?

Cut some fairways out, put smaller baskets in, change the pars and boom, it's a great layout.
