My guess is she will be on the Star Team next year... it keeps expanding.

At one point, Star team was for major champions only. Now it seems to be full time touring players + major champions. Since Eveliina is neither at the moment, it's no surprise she isn't there. My assumption is that the difference between being on the Star team versus the international team is largely tied to tour support (fundraiser discs, entry fees covered, etc). If Eveliina isn't touring and isn't playing more than a couple of high profile events (majors/NT/DGPT), it doesn't make a lot of difference for her to get those benefits. Her win at Memorial and her second place finish at Worlds has raised her profile, but I would guess that elevation to the Star team would have to involve an extended tour of US events.

But non of the FPO players in the star team have won a major? Eveliina has been close

But as you say, she would need to play at least 5-10 US events a year to have a chance
It just feels odd to not have Innovas highest rated FPO player in the top team

They tour full time. That's the key thing here. They're on the road at every elite event, representing the brand and, perhaps more importantly, giving themselves many chances to be on video coverage. It's not just about being the best player. Visibility is currency.

Ratings do not seem to have any determination in their Star Team. Some of their highest rated players aren't even on Team Champion. Christian Dietrich, Scott Withers, and Joe Rovere have all been rated in the 1030's without sniffing the Star Team.

These 3 guys, all DOMINATE their home states, while not touring. I would say though, its more than just about touring fulltime however. I feel like Jennifer Allen is on the Star Team mostly for setting the Women's distance record.

She is Rated higher than any of the FPO players in the Star team and have some nice results in 2019

Agreed. If Eveliina moved to the USA and played a full tour schedule, she likely would make the Star team. Otherwise, not so likely.

Innova has one thing in mind: sell plastic flying discs.

If you help do that, then you get promoted.

National notoriety and winning gets you buzz and sells discs.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's what they do.

Innova's idea of growing the sport is selling more Innova discs.

it's a trade-off. Payouts in Europe are typically some/much lower than in the USA.

Being closer to home allows for more time spent at home ( = less food/sleeping expenses), but travel in Europe is typically much more expensive (fuel prices are typically double what they are in the USA, flights are more expensive).

And to be able to play a whole season in the USA, or at least a large part of it, you'd somehow need to be able take time off work, or have enough money to take a sabattical.

Or play discgolf full time?

I saw Albert Tamm play in NJ last night, he played Worlds last week and said he'd be at the MVP Maple Hill next.
