I normally play a big hyzer route on this hole but took the virus out for a round with the new photon distance drivers and decided to play this very tight up the middle hyzer flip line which I never really have thrown before due to the low ceiling and needing a pretty steep hyzer flip with a faster mold but as you can see it worked out very well with the virus. Been throwing this course once a week nearly and never had a MVP disc as understable. lots of fun to throw!

You can see how wide open that right side is just off the tee so the hyzer makes sense and I never really thought to throw a power hyzer flip here but next round might need to mash on a wave and see what happens. definitely a tunnel shot vs playing the easy route though mostly just for fun.

That's great news. I've repurposed a 155 Halloween Crave for hyzer flip lasers, but it's nice to know that a gyro driver can do that purpose built at typical weights. Thanks for sharing.

Someone had mentioned the wing on the Virus being 1mm wider than Insanity - did you notice any difference between the two in use? Seems that would make it closer to the 21.5s than the 20s...

Cheers,

K.

Got a 174 Virus today. It is a beautiful swirly creamsicle orange with a red rim. Even at 174 this disc is under stable for me. Now mind you it is a very manageable under stable, not turn and burn Flippy. Perfect for long high sweep anhzyer, low and laser straight, tight tight turn to soft fade. Definitely more under stable than the Insanity. Really liking the Virus alot.

No one is going to notice a 1mm difference if it exists. Nothing like a 21.5 driver class at all that would be 1cm difference vs mm.

Makes sense. I popped by the PDGA disc specs and the Axiom DDs show a diameter of 21.1cm (Fireball, Insanity, Wrath) and 21.2cm (Virus). I'm not sure the difference in PDGA calculation vs manufacturer, but yes, the difference would appear to be slight.

I now have a Virus and can't tell the difference in wing width by eyes alone.

For all those who have waited for a 'real' understable disc from MVP/Axiom, this is the most US so far. At my flat ground max of 400' (350 comfortably), this mold can put out sweet exaggerated air flips to S - leave lots of room to the right to come back for some impressive looking big air D. Fun disc.

I like the virus a lot for tight wooded courses. It pairs up really well with the inertia ive put back in the bag.

Anyone else got the virus?!

Already old news . For the month of August while the Virus was out before the Orbital... it was! I have Orbitals coming in our next order, should be here in a couple days. Looking forward.
