Quick first impressions on the 174-gram Insanity I received today:

-Thrown against a worn 165-gram Inertia, they run extremely similar lines. Flip/flat/fade and flex shots that held for 80% of the flight were easy.

-The Insanity has a slightly higher shoulder than the Inertia, giving it a rounder feel in the hand. It definitely feels more comfortable than the Inertia, for me.

-I'd love to try one at the same weight as the Inertia, but for now I think the Insanity will be nice for low-powered players out of the box, and even better when it seasons.

More to come tomorrow when I get a full round in with it.

Sounds like the Inspire in this respect. Am I right?

You mean impulse? Just put one back in thr bag and it does feel a little less sharp vs inertia. Wonder if it will roll better hmmm

Impulse still has a real flat feel. Inspire feels more rounded (domey without the dome) so that's why the comparison was made.

Thanks for the first impression, and looking forward to the full evaluation. I was hoping Insanity would slot between the Inertia and Tesla, but it does not sound like that is the case. I had hoped that MVP/Axiom would squeeze two discs between Inertia and Tesla.

Impulse and Inertia are not that far apart. If Insanity is a worn Inertia, that sounds like a pretty crowded field. Hmmm.

The Wrath will be the one between Inertia and Tesla. The Fireball between the Tesla and Motion. The Insanity... Well it will be the most US driver yet from Axiom/MVP.

Nothing concrete to back this up, but makes sense to me.

Hoping to get out and throw all three in a little bit, I'll keep you posted.

Insanity is more overstable than the Impulse from what I recall. It's been awhile since I tossed it, though. And don't forget the Virus.

If the Fireball flies like a Firebird then I will pick one up. My grip never clicked with the bird. I haven't thrown a motion yet either so i'm curios to see how all three of these compare.

I'm praying the Wrath will be an understable Tesla but I'm looking more forward to a Gyro D2/Destroyer.
