Mambas due barrel rolls at full power. I agree that champ is better for the Daedalus. The seasoned gstar I picked up was okay for my standstill sidearm but I can do more with other discs.

If you're throwing less than 350' max d then I'd probably say get a Valkyrie til you throw farther. If you're throwing over 350', I'd recommend beating in a biofusion trespass for long turnovers.

Also, purple is the worst

G* Daedalus: for those times you want to throw a G* Tern, but don't mind sweating bullets waiting forever for it to hook up and come back to the left.

Seriously, just go grab a Champ Daedalus and be done with it. It performs just like any other somewhat understable driver. It'll track to the right and then come back late. It bombs too. Among the longer drivers out there.

I don't like dark discs for playing either. Purple is a terrible color. So is black. I once found a black and a purple disc on the course in the same day. I can see how people lost them. If I hadn't put my eye directly on both of them I'd have never seen them. The purple disc was wedged into a thick sagebrush bush and was borderline impossible to see.

I have a dark purple prototype gstar daedalus. One of the first discs I bought when I started playing- admittedly because it is swirly and pretty. Catch a forehand right and it goes about as far as anything else I've tried(400'+), miss it and it could turn and burn or go nose up and stall- something that sometimes happens to me when trying to put too much hyzer on a forehand. My backhand isn't that strong and I play at over a mile of elevation, so it actually works well for me there- flies like a vip sorcerer I have and a star tern I've thrown before.

The dark purple is just as horrible to find as everyone else has said. Especially in a disc that has the potential to go so far offline on a bad shot...

I must have found a stable run because both of my light purple Gstar daedalus fly more stable than my Gstar tern, just about the same as my champ terns.
One of my proto g* daedalus flies the same as the g*tern and the other one is stupid flippy but a lot of fun for weird hyzer flip lines or in a big tailwind.

Find a disc you like in the same color and plastic. Don't waste your money on a GStar Daedalus.

There seems to be a wide variance in gstar daedalus discs. A local guy has 5 of them and one is actually fairly overstable and more firm like star plastic, you'd never know it was a gstar daedalus.

The plastic sucks and doesn't mold consistently. Regular Star and Champion are way better.

Of the G*'s I've handled at stores, the heavier weights seemed ok, but the lighter weights were flimsy and soft.
