Soft X Chally taught me how to FH without being a torque monkey. I was at college orientation and it was the only disc in the car. Worked on getting clean approach shots from 100' or so and then I stepped it up in distance a bit. By the time I got back, I could FH a "4" or "5" Roc. Totally changed the way I played, and to this day I can still FH US stuff. Turned out to come in handy when I had to play a tourney that isn't a FH friendly course FH only.

Stratus was the disc that gave me hope I could eventually be good. I knew it was ridiculously understable but just being able to throw something a respectable distance was enough fun to keep me coming back to the course and learning. It probably took me a year to outgrow that disc and remove it from the bag completely, and it taught me a lot in that time. One of my favorite shots is still a hyzerflip with a really understable fairway.

Pro wraith to showed me how to throw for distance. When I figured out how to throw nose down and it stopped fading out right away I was amazed.
