I'm not sure why some see the Mach III even with deeper basket as a "Championship" basket. I've never seen one in a major competition on Jomez...

Nice video! It took me a minute to realize I wasn't watching a compilation of all of Catrina Allens missed circle 1 putts.

Nice to see someone speaking kindly about the T1s. I absolutely love them, but some people are convinced they are evil and spit everything. I’be played hundreds of rounds on them with so few spit outs I wouldn’t even consider it a talking point.

Also nice to see the disdain for Mach 3s. Man I really, REALLY dislike those baskets. Not a fan of the Mach X either at that price point.

Good video. It's hard to tease out what the best baskets are, since there are so many variables before you get to the basket. Ie, players using different discs, putting different speeds, different entry angles, etc...

I putt a little softer, with a bit more loft than most push putters (thanks to learning on mach I baskets) so probably have a bit different experience with what catches better for me. The following is my subjective experience what catches best:

S Tier
DGA Mach X
DGA Mach 7
Chainstar Pro
These baskets seem to catch basically any putt that is decent that I throw. I don't think they spit or blow through at a high enough rate for it to be memorable.

A Tier
Gateway Titan
DGA Mach 5
Innova Discatcher Pro 28
DGA Mach 3
All 3 of these baskets seem to not catch good putts with extremely high rate of the category above. More 'ring bounce' spits with the Mach 5, more pole kicks with the Discatcher Pro 28/Mach 3. The Gateway Titan that I played on seemed good if you putt hard, but the chains are so heavy and will often reject good putts if they don't push the chains hard enough.

D Tier
Innova Discatcher single row
DGA Mach I
Disc King Kingpin
Monkey Trap
this category has a poor reputation with me. not just because of my own experiences, but watching other players throw great putts that don't stick for one reason or another. Seemingly random 'no catch' on putts that would stay in on any of the other tiers above.

Love the video! I didn't realize it was MN until hole #4 at Oakwood If you want Mach I's, I believe Winona had a course with them, but I can't remember which course it was...

I would like to point out that your trial is for a modern putting style using modern putters. People flat out putted differently on the old single chain baskets. If you took a soft, lob style putter to these same baskets I bet the distribution would be exactly the opposite, with the single chain basket catching best and the new stiff baskets rejecting the softly lobbed putts.

Man this is surprising. My two favorite courses have Mach IIIs and I just don't notice many issues with them.

It would take much longer, but i think it would be better to wait for the chains to stop moving from the previous throw before the next putt

Most baskets were fine if they were swaying a bit. Probably more important would have been to go clear discs from inside the chains, but hey it's Semi-Scientific
