To me that is not an alternate tee spot, both of those show up. I would guess mando, have you played this course before? if so next time to it, you go to the advance tee and look to see what it is if this is a local course. Is this one people here have played before so as to help the new guy, last thing I thought was it was a dumb bench with a "disc power charging station" put on there with a Permanent Marker.

I wonder if it has something to do with the pole in the picture. Would make sense to me.

I should have mentioned, I put the arrow in the pic to show what I was talking about.

Looks like that utility pole is right in the spot the dot is. You sure there isn’t a mando left there? Seems odd to put that dot on to let you know there is a clearly visible pole.

Since you're new, I'll let you know that 'disc chargers' drawn on course benches are pure vandalism and a blight on any disc golf course. People that work hard to make and keep their courses nice get pretty damn angry when some asshat decides they've somehow 'earned' the right to vandalize course benches that a volunteer may have spent a lot of time building and installing.

I hope you like it less now .

I think the poles is correct. The dots are on the 18th hole map as well, which also runs along the power lines. It does not seem to indicate that you have to play one side or the other.

Kind of them to put the orange dot on the map so no one bumps into the 12" diameter poles!

It seems odd, but it gives you a better idea of distance IMO. I'd rather have more info than I need, than not enough.

Also helps you easily identify the long pad from the short pad. One pad is in front of the pole and the other behind it, might be nice for new visitors to quickly see their error and proceed to the correct pad.
