Default Ching Kong baby Ching Kong!!!

The first time I ever played disc golf was a few years ago. Some hippies I knew told me about this gas station near the course where everybody bought cheap used discs. Except I got THE disc. If you will look at my profile picture you will see it in all it's glory. I played with the disc for the rest of the year, and only this disc, because I didn't know any better. Our tumultuous love affair was cut short when I lost it in a water hazard at Barfield Crescent in Murfreesboro.

I have since tracked down another. I know it is a teebird but that is about it. Questions start to arise. Few answers can be found via Google so basically I'm screwed.

1. Where did Ching Kong come from?
2. Who is Cool Grey? (the discs lone piece of info is the words "1997 Cool Grey")
3.Why aren't there more bad-ass designs from these people? (I saw the ying-yang and I'm not impressed)
4. Why aren't there more Ching Kongs out there?
5. Does anybody have a crate of these they would sell me?

I love playing with it. The nostalgia is through the roof and I can't help but smile every time I look at it, shaving 3-4 strokes off my game in the process. But alas, it is a bittersweet delight, for it is DX plastic. I have already put a few good nicks in it and I know this disc is gonna have a limited life span, but how long, sweet Ching Kong, how long....

Actually I know it is a teebird but that is all I know. It said it was a teebird when I bought it and I have compared it to the shape of my teebird and they match up.

hmm. ching teebird then. "ching" just refers to the machine that stamped those full color stamps. flattens the plastic out and the plastic they use for it is different than DX/Pro.

not too cheap either

Well, I would feel stupid about playing with it except it feels so good.

I thought ching referred to the sound of the disc hitting the chains.
