Default Need Help! Trying to Buy old disc from friend!

A buddy of mine has an old prototype star stamp viper that he may be willing to come off of. But he won't let me finger it out of his bag until he gets a round about price on what it may be worth. He's an older cat that doesn't play much anymore. But anyway it has at one point and time been a Nick Sartori personal disc cuz its been signed by him. But help me out. Need to know what is a good deal for it.

What? A Nick Sartori personal disc? No way. I've never seen one of those in person.

Probably b/c I have no idea who Nick Sartori is and it doesn't matter at all.

Because u have never heard of someone doesn't mean a whole lot to me except that u don't ever watch the news or know much about some certain things. Nick Sartori was the owner opperatorof of flying eye disc golf in clearwater fla. At one point and time he was suede by the greatful dead for a stamp that he had on one of. Been making. But again that doesn't matter to someone who wouldn't know much about that and yes the disc is new

Well if he is the dude who was sued by the Grateful Dead it totally changes the value of the disc...

Seriously, our megathread too good for you?

Is Nick out of jail? Does it make the disc worth more or less if he is still in?

On a serious note, the old Metalhead Vipers used to be worth decent money, but back when they were worth "decent" money all discs cost $7.00 so a disc that sold for $20.00 was a big deal. Now people throw $20.00 around for a disc like it's nothing.

Also, the Viper at the time was the ubiquitous driver of the 90's, so the Metalheads held very good value. Now nobody really throws Vipers anymore, and CE undercut the value of all the old DX discs. They guy who has it probably thinks it's worth a lot more than it is because 10 years ago it was a very desirable disc. Now, not so much. $20.00-25.00 would probably still be a good price for a mint Metalhead. The one you are looking at is used and has ink, so it has almost no collectible value. I'd only get it if you wanted to throw it, and I wouldn't go over $15 for it. I'd only go $15 if I really liked the guy.
