Your rear foot is just spinning/sliding out of leverage. There's no acceleration off it into the plant. You are only planting via momentum from before the rear foot.

This is some harsh truth I needed to hear. I want to believe I'm sending my weight forward because I sure feel like I am, but it's pretty pathetic on video. I tried something different tonight trying to get a stronger weight shift before the end of the backswing. I'm going way too fast here, and my off arm gets a little hairy, but it looks more like a weight shift. Probably need to load more on the rear hip. Let me know what you think.

Stack your rear knee inside your foot, so you can leverage yourself targetward.

Last couple posts I noticed this too. One thing to try: get more vertical, as opposed to forward, with your right/hop foot. Helps me slow the momentum down if I'm going forward too fast. I think this will give you more time when you land on your left foot during the backswing and, in turn, enable you to do what SW is asking of you in leveraging it inside. Right now, I think you're sort of forced to do what you're doing because of all of the forward momentum....

Finish looked good to this novice.

I'm struggling to figure out how to do this. I don't know if it's terrible hip mobility or what, but it feels like I have to sit in a chair to not have my knee not go over the toes.

I'm trying to do it here, looks a little better, but not much different. I'm guessing I have to focus on something else, but not sure what. I'm also focusing on getting into a better finish position through an overall more connected throw.

Stride front foot straight down the line right over top your rear foot, or even more left to right to left, or circling inside out like Lizotte/Jenkins. You are pushing leftward off the rear foot instead of straight or rightward, aka sevam1 "the move".

Yeah, it's worth understanding that there's a difference between

A. Striding targetward with 20 off-set feet
B. Striding 20 left of the target with back toes inline with front heel

It's so ingrained in my throw, that I have to really visualize which way I'm shifting and it feels crazy far left.

But when you do B. - your putting yourself into a position that resists the redirection. If you go the way that you're going above, the only way to resist is to jam onto your hip.

Watch the direction of my shift with respect to the direction of the throw:
