Default Disc Golf Center Ratings

I see that a lot of people on here talk up disc golf center and their reliability so I'm looking to order a few new discs. Does anyone know how their difficulty rating works? I notice it on the left side when you browse a disc on their site but can't find a scale on their site anywhere! Thanks!

Looks like it is mostly based on the speed of the disc.

Charts and ratings aren't a great way to rate or understand discs, but if you were dead set on using one I'd recommend this one.

If there is a better way of judging I don't mind a chart. I'm just fairly new and didn't want to waste money on any discs that would be too advanced for me. Is there a better rule of thumb for judging the difficulty of discs?

The higher the speed of the disc, the more arm speed you need to make the disc fly like the numbers say they should fly.

If you don't get the disc up to speed, it will dump hard making it more overstable than expected. Most people end up with poor form trying to throw discs they can't get up to speed
