I don't think it makes sense. The increase in cost goes straight to the consumer and the money is going straight to the 3rd party for license rights. Doesn't help disc golf at all. They would be better served my releasing more speciality runs where the increase in cost goes straight into their pockets.

Now I think they will sell some discs but I don't expect to see them run very long. Probably just a cash grab from the limited nature of the discs and the initial appeal.

Chewbacca disc = camouflage disc. That's the really smart business decision.

It helps the sport gain notoriety. More people will learn about the sport, watch the events, buy other products and from different companies. Even if those discs won't necessarily equal bank right away, it will still help in the long run.

I started playing disc golf because my brother had a DG video game we loved. Similar scenario. But now I've invested a lot into the sport and have spread the word to many others who have also invested time, money, and recruiting others.

It's a domino effect, and sometimes you need something like Star Wars to give you a push.

Awww this is so lame. Just hotstamp movie stuff on the low low like Gateway . Waste of money. Usually when they do full foil stamps they arent good throwers. Plus, it takes the price of a esp force (14$ shipped) to like $20+.

Hopefully mcbeth will bag one of these lame discs so discraft can actually get some return on their investment.

I said my peace. Anyone who disagrees is wrong

I honestly don't think this will grow the sport by the way of casuals taking more of an interest, just because a frisbee has a cool stamp they recognize.

If non-DG people buy them, and that eventually gets those folks to take up disc golf, and buy stock stamp discs does it make sense then?

Held a Full Foil Buzzz just see what one felt like. Would never consider throwing a disc like this. At least the DecoDyes on the Trilogy discs don't seem to have an effect. But the Buzzz was slippery as hell.
