….and just personal taste, I'm no fan of cuts. I've done them twice as a TD, and a couple of times as a player. Outside of Worlds, I don't really see the point. Most of the time, it seems to be an effort to manufacture a captive gallery by making most of the field hang around until the awards ceremony.

Welll, that certainly isn't my intent. My thought was to sell the cut as a plus. My tournaments are a significant drive for most non-locals and the thought was to both get an early exit for the Sunday players and let the non-contender out-of-towners go home on Saturday. As a bonus, this would let me end a little earlier on Sunday, giving me time to do the post-tournament stuff before Sunday night.

Another thought was to get the sponsor hotel to take reservations for both days with no penalty for an early check out so out-of-towners would lose nothing in hotel bills for not making the cut.
