I would say ESP Surge too, but they can be erratic in the wind at times. Wraiths are a hair more overstable than Surges.
Have you thrown Swords at all?

Yeah, about a half dozen of them, all VIP plastic. The Sword is a pretty good mold, very glidey and long. They can get erratically flippy at times. For me the Sword would sit right between a Thrasher and Trespass. Its good for hyzerflips in calm or downwind conditions.

The Sword may be a gentle step up from a Thrasher, but not much. Both are pretty flippy. The Sword (for me) is longer and (obviously) faster.

Sword: 12, 6, -2, 2
Thrasher: 11, 5, -3, 2
Trespass: 12, 5, -1.5, 3

You're also talking about subjective ratings from two different companies.

I think those are his ratings as they are not what is printed on the discs.

D'oh! Not sure I'd put the Sword at a speed 12 then. The one I threw was more around PD/Thunderbird speed.

The Sword is every bit of speed 12. It might not be as flat as a Tern, but it'll get downrange rapidly.

Obviously those ratings are subjective. I rate discs based on averages. I've thrown multiple Thrashers, Swords, and Trespasses.

I've started to lean away from discs that cheat on the extra speed rating by making the rim super shallow - Trespass and Tern, I'm looking at you. Rim width similar to that of a Wraith but with all of 12 speed.

Thrasher? Little bit deeper, not much but enough to be appreciated. Most of the high glide, flippy distance cheater discs are very shallow but the ones that aren't I have taken a liking to.

The Shryke seems to have a deeper rim. I agree the Tern is very shallow. So are the Katana and Vulcan.

IMO the Tern is the biggest "cheater" disc out there. Big dome and a super shallow rim. It flies a lot longer than any other 12 speed disc I've ever thrown. You could also put the King and Destiny in the same category.

Shryke for sure, deeper rim. A little bit more disc than I might be willing to make a workhorse out of.

Pop topped Terns seem harder to find than they used to be. Star and the like seems to have always been fairly flattish, whereas it was the champs in 165ish g that would really reliably bomb in most situations for me. Recently picked up a Glow Champ with slight dome.
