Yes but the Element-X had a tight radius on the inner rim. This creates a slightly different flight and feel.

Dave now has the new core so it is definitely possible.

Yes, the Element-X was tweaked into the Karma, but it make the feel of the disc so bad I would not bag it. It also changed the way it flew. Feel is very subjective though.

Just played my first round with the diamond element. Had it not been for my disc finding the trees every time (thrower error), I would have had some serious throws with it. It's stable, but can hold a long anny line without flexing out much at all. Flies dead straight when thrown low & flat. It's a great compliment to my evo platinum karma. I just wish I didn't dump my evo element into the drink last week, otherwise my mid setup would be killer. And again, I cannot say enough great things about this new run of diamond plastic. People seriously need to give these elements a try. You won't be disappointed!

So does the Diamond Element have more of a Z Comet or a DX Roc flight?

I've never thrown a comet, so I can't compare those two, but for the dx roc, I'd say a fresh dx roc is pretty close in flight to the diamond element. The roc may be a tad bit more stable, if anything.

Is anyone able to give a comparison of the element vs a Z comet? Infinite had the elements flight numbers similar to a comet, but people on here have described it more as a -1, 2 and flying similar to a roc? I was hoping for something more understable that doesn't fade back at the end.

It's been a while since I've thrown a Comet (like 10 years), but a Comet was more of a 4 5 -1 1 disc to me. The new Diamond Element, I'd rate more as of a 4 4 0 2 disc. It's closer to an older run Champion Cobra (minus the -2 turn) than it would be to a Comet I think.

Did they ever run new Element-Xs? Probably the one disc that would seriously make me consider putting a new mid in the bag. It was my workhorse for the first few years I played (my first 2 aces were with the element-x) and I was super disappointed when they stopped making it - which was when I switched over to Rocs/Comets.

I think since Gateway switched back to a traditional inner rim a newly run Karma would be an Element X.
