My apologies if this question has already been answered somewhere in the previous 459 pages, but how does Electron plastic hold up in the cold weather? Baseline plastics can be tricky. Using Innova as an example, DX discs can explode on a tree hit in the winter, but XT seem to be more break-resistant and have really nice grip in freezing temps. I'm curious if Electron discs need to be packed away just like DX does.

I'm asking because I'm breaking in an Electron Envy to be an US compliment to my Neutron Envy, and I'd like to be able to throw it all winter. If Electron doesn't crack in the cold I may even go buy a couple more since Neutron gets pretty slick in the snow.

Its great for putting in cold weather. Never really thru it much off the tee, except an Atom for a bit one summer. Good thing about electron, is that if you break or lose a thrower, it doesn't take long to get another to that point. My advice would be to get another one or two and have them beat in and ready to fill in. If you're gonna use baselines for that type of shot, you should have backups ready. You never know when you will fold one on a tree, regardless of temps.

Fair point on eventually needing to get a couple backups. I've got an XT Colt that works fine as an US throwing putter, but I'd prefer to carry one fewer mold especially since I putt with yet a different putter (Crowns). Added benefit of carrying a baseline plastic putter for throwing is that it doubles as a putting putter for warmups, which allows me to only bag one Crown. So basically a beat Electron Envy can replace two discs for me. It's not a necessity, but it is convenient.

I have had no issues in the cold New England weather. They all become a bit stiffer but I have not had any issues with breaking electron. The only ones that have broken for me are ones that I left at the park that got chewed up by the grounds crew mowing the baseball fields.
