My X report :
I picked up my first x3 last week, and my second x2. I didn't use the x2 much before because it's pretty OS. After throwing the x3 I gave the x2 some more practice. Because I absolutely love the feel of these rims. I'm glad I did. X2 is strongly OS driver with a speed that I can use as a control driver or throw as hard as I'm capable. The X3 is the best high speed stable line holder I've ever tried. It's got nice glide without sacrificing stability. It's consistent in wind from all sides.
I think the x3 is more like aD2 with less turn and less fade. It holds lines a little better, won't over turn the way my d2 will. Similar disc with a tighter flight path. The D2 flies faster, but I don't see a huge difference unless I'm really cranking it. But when I lay into it, I'm less liable to turn the X's over with anny release.
The x2 is more OS - my x2 is even more turn resistant than D1. in the flex shot, it will fade back more than d2 or x3, and turn less wild than the D's. The X2 makes hard fading flex shots easy. The X3 rides the line you put it in and fades less and later, making a smother flex line. Almost on a rope, if that means anything to you...
I hated the d3 I had, which was just squirrely for me. Similar to my f3 experience. But this x3 is what I wish the d3 were.
