If we want to go all the way up to speed 9's then i would second the Wrath suggestion too!, one of my most reliable control drivers and i would consider it the "envy" of control drivers a bit lower in the glide department but that makes it dead straight and reliable fade, like mikec said it handles wind better. i have proton and neutron, the proton started out slightly more overstable than the neutron. do not get the prism wrath, its flippy and totally different.. better off getting an insanity if you want that.

not sure i agree with the Volt though, many of the volts ive used turn too much, but maybe an eclipse volt would fit the bill.

also, if you look at craves, try to find one with the highest "PLH" if you know what that means. the last crave i had was flippy out of the box, which is why i recommended a servo instead. I have had the good straight to fade craves in the past and they are great for a while but once they break in i found they turn too easily and are no longer reliable or easy to range (like an envy is). i have a white neutron servo that is literally dead straight (maybe a slight drift to it when i throw it hard enough) and late forward fade like the envy does for me.. avoid blue neutron servo though i had to contact MVP factory about the blue ones and they confirmed lower PLH than they should have been. If you really want an awesome disc get a resistor and beat the daylights out of it for a few weeks, that will be your longer envy!.. but they are hard to replace.

Those two discs are my driver's of choice! Excellent combo.

I know the Wrath has been getting some love but I would say the Tesla. The Wrath is billed as a beat Tesla but I don't find that accurate. The advantage to the Tesla over the Wrath is that it is available in more plastics. Fission Teslas (yes it is lighter plastic but MVP has them made in max weight which is really stable) can run the gamut for OS to US. You can cover all your shots with a 160s Fission Tesla, a low 150s Fission Tesla, a near max weight Proton or Neutron Tesla, and a max weight Plasma Tesla. No need for the Insanity because you can get the same flights out of the lower weight Fission Teslas. The only issue is that some of the runs of Fission Tesla are a bit more domed than others. I use to bag Inertias, Insanities, Volts, Wraths, and Teslas. Get everything now with just the Tesla. I also use my FAF ones to fight the wind. No issues carrying the water with headwinds on the blues/whites of Maple Hill with these discs.
