At least he didn't make it till the 2nd to last hole of the tourney to get one like he did at Throw Down the Mountain... he was so close...

I'm envisioning something like:

OB off the tee, re-tee.
OB again.
Throw into some bushes and pitch out to the fairway.
Throw OB.
Hit a tree 100 feet out.
Throw into the circle.
Three putt.

806.02.G: "If a drop zone has been provided for an out-of-bounds area, the Director may allow players to proceed directly to that drop zone at the cost of two penalty throws."

If the director isn't allowing for this on Eureka 1, 13, and 17 at the very least, that's insanity. I get that this is Worlds and these are the best players in the game, but forced carries of 300 feet can still be a challenge that not every player is up to (or at least willing to risk plastic for).

For 1,13, and 17 there are drop zones. For 13 and 17, the tee is in an OB area and players can just toss a disc to the side to be OB. For 1, they can intentionally miss the mando to go to the drop zone. 806.02.G was not needed as the course rules had essentially provided an easy way to do that without losing a disc.

He can talk all about the hole he pared and how it was his highlight of the week.
