For my arm the Vanish and Insanity are pretty similar. I can get a little more distance from the Vanish on the perfect throw, but tend to be more consistent with the Insanity. I usually only carry one or the other in my bag.

How far do you guys throw? To compare

177 ion and anode 190 max
176 Alias and Matrix 250 max
The 155g Insanity 280 to 300 (I don't think I've maxed it beyond that)
The 155g Vanish 290 to 330 (Flat throw)

Probably both Vanish and Insanity around 300 give or take 30' depending on the day.

Relay about 280'

I've been dealing with back and hip problems, so I've lost some distance, I have thrown my Vanish closer to 350' before and my Insanity has hit that at least a couple times. So even when I was throwing a bit further, they were pretty similar.

Current average max distance is a...
171 400g D2, throw 360. Give or take 20ft based on the day.
175 Glow CD2, throw 340
180 Glow MD3, throw 300

Would they still work? Looking for understable fairway (for between mid and cd2) and understable distance driver)

I would disagree - but - they're really close so maybe yours fly a little different, I have used 3 insanity's and 3 inertias. From what I found Plasma is by far the most understable - Neutrons for both, actually fly about the same - One neutron inertia flys with slight turn and decent fade another is more used and is a hyzerflip monster - proton inertia are most stable and probably my favorite for flight when it comes to inertias - Insanity and Inertia are really close though same with Wrath and Tesla - but id still say the insanity has less fade....but whatevs

Perhaps it comes down to nose angle or spin.

I throw clean and oat free...but I do have to watch my nose angle on wider rims.

Such small things make such a big difference

I think either one would work fine. The Vanish is a little less stable and a little longer in my experience, but too similar to carry both to me.

But definitely get the Relay for the US fairway.

I have one of the limited editions (Dragon Fish, I think they are called) at 173g and 350-360 is about my max distance.
For me, it has 0 turn and modest amount of fade. It has more glide than a Star Tern but not as understable.
I find that it forehands well, but unless I get a full rip backhand, I can get my 171g K1 Grym out to a longer distance. I feel that 164ish would probably be better for our arm speed.

It is a good disc but I took it out of my bag for now. I was a sucker for the pretty stamp, and the fact a forumn member designed it, but I should have gotten a lighter weight.
