Default Group 3 discs

I was tossing around a Convict for the first time today and comparing it to other discs that I already throw. I compared it to a Thunderbird or PD. That got me thinking......What 3 discs are (in your humble opinion) practically interchangeable or the same?

Ill start:

Convict, PD, Thunderbird. These all fly similar lines for me. I could use any one of these and feel good about it.

What other examples can you think of?

Convict IME is far less stable than PD or Thundy. That being said Firebird, FD3, Felon would be my three.

Try those in the wind and the Convict will be flip city compared to PD/Thundy though...

I guess I would say FD/TL/Leo3. There are small differences, and when beat in they are different if you can overpower them...but really they are so similar for most players.

Also BuzzzSS/Mako3/several of other mids that are pretty close but not quite exactly the same. For example a straight Buzzz, an Axis, a straight MD3, etc.

I agree with that...it was a limited test of Convict throws Also it was in Fuzion, maybe Lucid would be more stable for me.

On the relatively understable side, the TL3, TL, FD, Leopard3, River, Patriot, Leopard, F7, and Archer are in the same ballpark. Depending on the plastics, some of them can be totally interchangeable. Pick three.

CLine PD, champ (Christmas pearly) thunderbird, 3rd run sublime alpha. Stability/flight and hand feel are nearly identical to me.

For me the Mantis*, Escape, & Saint are alike. All finish straight with small turn and small fade.

* Premium plastic Mantis

I haven't thrown a Mantis, but I agree the Escape and Saint have nearly identical flights. I actually picked up Escapes because the Saint's inner rim feels weird to me. Escape was the natural Saint replacement.
