Default Mid and putter distance vs driver distance

I have come to a sad realization...I can get 350-375 out of a wraith or a destroyer but today I was just fooling around and launched my SSS wizard and rpro dart out to around 275 or so...then I tried to really crank my roc and was able to get it out to a little over 300...

What gives? I can get a roc to within 30-40 feet of a destroyer?

One thing I have noticed is the putter and mid release seems to be much smoother and doesn't flutter like the drivers...from what I understand the flutter is from OAT...how much distance is this taking off of my drive? And how do you practice to get rid of the OAT??

I'm thinking about just playing entire rounds with a roc and a wizard...man, frustrating...

Makes your bag lighter...

I played a whole round with my Gazelle and Birdie tonight. Was getting about 300' with the Gazelle so I stuck with it.

I noticed the same thing awhile ago, but just chalked it up to bad form. Now 6 mo later, it's still the same way, except the discs are just further out in the field.

My putter has always been within 30-50 of my midrange. My midrange has always been within 30-50 of my drivers. Ranges have gradually increased though. I think that's normal. As I get better I throw drivers less and less. I used to throw them twice on a 250 foot hole. Now I might not throw it at all.

I know what you mean...I would be throwing a mid or fairway driver on a 250 foot hole

When I realized I could throw my mids within 25 feet of my drivers and be more consistent with placement I stopped using drivers for as often.

Technically i believe a 250 ft hole should be a mid depending on line for most upper inter/adv/open players.

My guess is this problem has to do with arm speed and snap on release. I have this problem also but play with alot of adv and open players who bomb drivers and dont.

I throw lots of Rocs because like stated before, I can place them better and easier. My drivers are only used where I get get rocs.

I'll start worrying about this when I can throw a ROC over 300ft...

Do we really need drivers then?
