Love thread resurrection when it's a topic related to me that I don't see often I'm a big fan of the Voodoo, and I just started putting with them within the last year. Like others have said, I'm not a big fan of the "big beads" out there, but the regular Putt & Approach Aviar just didn't have enough control for me. The small bead on the Voodoo gives me the right balance. I started with a pair of first run "softs" and haven't looked back. Although the first runs are kinda impossible to find now

I've been putting with some Voodoos lately. Had been using "stiff" SSS wizards, but now it's Glow Voodoos. They feel amazing, like velvet, and with the perfectly rounded nose, it just disappears from my hand. Also don't drop as fast as Wizards, which i have been liking.

I bought a soft Voodoo about 2 months ago to try for driving... wasn't really a big fan. I've tried all of Gateways putters and I like the Wizard the best. SSS for putting and SS plastic on the firmer side for drives/approaches.

The Voodoo was the first putter I really fell in love with. I have one very similar looking to the one below, except mine is yellow. I love it. Had I not moved on to Vibrams I would still be throwing Voodoos. They just feel so good in my hand.

I use a soft Anode now except for the winter when my Voodoo goes back in the bag. Gateway needs to cook up a batch of eraser Anodes.

I've been using soft Voodoos since I started. My main putter is one of the first Voodoos I ever bought. It's gotten pretty flippy now.

Anybody care to whey in on voodoo vs wizards for putting? I putt with wizards but I have a couple of organic voodoos that feel crazy good in the hand. If you putt voodoo over wizard, why? Differences?

I like that the voodoo is lower profile. I think it feels better in the hand, when beaten in the bead comes off and they feel even better. Most importantly for me, I can putt them on a hyzer angle without them fading much inside the circle. which is nice because I like the hyzer angle, but I also like to putt straight at the middle of the basket.

I don't like that Voodoos don't come in PWP or Fossil plastic. So I have to buy in person because "softs" could be firm like I like, or floppy, or domey etc.

I prefer voodoos over wizards while putting. I don't putt too hard, so the wizard will usually die short and hit the cage. Fresh voodoos will do that same, but will beat in and keep a loft better. I prefer eraser voodoos, they are consistently firm while softs could be nearly identical to super soft in firmness. I would buy up PWP if they had them though, I prefer white putters.
