I can always remove it if it's not working out.

I actually like it. Are people able to toggle it on or off?

Not with this free version I have installed. I'd have to pay to get the "pro" one and I think that would allow turning off notifications.

I like it for when people quote me, just not when I quote them; why would I need to be notified when I quote someone else? This really is the only problem with it. I wouldn't be hasty and remove it yet, I still like it for when I'm quoted.

Yeah, I really like it too... helps with the conversation flow a lot...

it might have a bug or two but that's not a real issue... is it?

Note to members:

We do not have the @"username" feature turned on. This feature would enable you to alert another member that you want them to see and respond to your post.

The quoting feature can be exploited to do the same without actually finding the other member's post and quoting it.

To do this, you can use the quote tags manually like so:
"[quote=username][/quote]" <--if you do it this way, the quote tag will be invisible in the post but will pop up in the other member's quotes section. Lamer Note: replace "username" with the exact spelling of the user you wish to alert

A more proper way to do this would be:
"[quote=username]@username[/quote]" <--this will do the same as above but also be visible in the post.

FYI - the above is true as per some testing.. your results may vary... using the quote feature may cause massive skin irritation and in rare cases it has been reported to make your jokes sound funny only to yourself... use with caution

Lamer note: As with anything, use as directed... overuse can lead to loss of friends and expulsion from the land of eden that is DGCR
