This. And Sexton, Koling...etc...etc. I find it refreshing that people no longer make the ridiculous claim that pros don't drive sales.

He said that about the aviar. Considering he is the owner of Innova, you will probably hear a lot of discs being the best driver, mid, putter, etc... ever made.

Are the majority of people buying Destroyers actually throwing that mold at it's potential. I mean, most of the players using them could easily replace it with a Wraith or probably a Thunderbird and get similar, if not better results. Really? All those buyers are getting McBeth distance with those Destroyers? GTFO'tah here.

Most people buying them can't throw a Leopard to its potential.

I've known several noobs that bought Destroyers in their early phases of playing strictly based on the name and the fact that it's a "high speed driver".

Let's not kid ourselves that disc names drive sales too. The metrics here are likely a combination of newbies buying a disc with a tough name, thinking it'lll be an actual distance driver for them, and players that actually value and use the mold as it fits into their game. That said, a Destroyer used for it's full potential and a Destroyer that has use in someone's bag at less than full potential are both equally useful. I know a guy that can't get his Destroyers up to speed, but definitely prefers them for OS and utility work. Just because you can't throw them like the pros do doesn't mean they're useless.

On the flip-side I'd love to see the metrics on how many new people buying Destroyers caused them to walk away from the game entirely.
