Default Finding someone using a pdga #?

Does anyone no a way to contact someone when all you have is a pdga number. I found a disk all inked up a ft er an ace. I would like to get it back to the owner. All he had on it was a pdga number. I looked it up and got a name and town but is there any way to contact someone through that?

You could try the Lost Disc Mega Thread.

I've actually stopped putting my phone number on my discs. I get so many scam phone calls, that I really don't like my number being out there anymore.

I write "DGCoursereview.com JuanA" on all my discs. That way if someone finds it, they can contact me here, and if they've never heard of the forum before...well now they have.

If you know the town, you could look on FB for a local club page. Probably your best chance to get in touch with someone.

Put the PDGA number in the search in this link, that will give you a name.

Yeah I'd probably use PDGA info for location, then Facebook to see if there's a local club/group. I'd bet that if so, you post some info about the disc and either the owner or friends of that person will speak up/tag.

It's a bit of work, kudos to you if you go through those lengths.

Is it so hard to put some useful contact info on a disc?

I put my daughter's name on all my discs. I get WAY more calls now.

Although the guys are always disappointed when I say you must have found my daughter's frisbee.

I guess it would help if I read the whole post before replying...

I put my PDGA number on my discs. Far more for a unique identifier than for return.

I've done this, and it works. I've also just done a search for the name and city on Facebook—"John Doe Whatevertown USA"—and there's usually only one search result that seems likely to be the disc's owner. Then I message the guy.
